Thank You (for the 93836363th time) Dave!

*Blows dust off laptop*

So, it's been a while since I last blogged. We've had Pancake day, which is one of favourite days of the year. We get to eat a ridiculous amount of pancakes & no one can say anything. I usually go to my mum's house, because she makes the best pancakes, but this year I cheated. I bought some 'just add water' pancake mix, in a bottle (I think it was Betty Crocker)? I could have easily made the mix myself, but I was too lazy.

What a disaster, by the time I'd mastered frying the pancake, there was only enough mix left to make like, three pancakes, lol. So, in the end I did go up to my mum's (it turned out she was cheating this year too & had bought Ma Raeburns microwavable pancakes - which actually were quite nice)!

Yesterday it was my Dad's birthday (he turned 59). So I went up to parents' house again to see him. He's feeling a lot better recently - but the weather is still a little cold so he's staying inside the house a lot. My brothers & nephews were there too, so we all ate the rest of the pancakes!

I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but on Tuesday our new Dryer arrived, at last! I was in the shower & by the time I had come out, it had arrived & Dave had pulled out one of the unused cupboards to make room for it & set it all up for me. I know it sounds silly, but I am so happy to have this drying machine, lol. I was getting so sick of hanging things on radiators & the heating being on constantly... Today, because we've been so used to having the heating on all day, it felt so cold!

Yesterday morning, my mum took me in the Range Rover to go pick up our new washing machine, which was finally in store too. The heating on my washer/dryer had decided not to work (washing or drying) so things haven't been washing properly. Dave, usually the person that hides when you mention DIY decided to install the washing machine for me too :)

Today, I missed this morning's lecture (I didn't sleep very well & could not face getting up early this morning)! I went to the lecture this afternoon however & sent Dave off on his own, Grocery Shopping - I don't think he has ever gone on his own, lol. He actually did a great job & told me later that it's apparantly best if he's in charge of the trolley in future, because he takes half the time I do! =O

Whilst unpacking I found a certain suprise or two....

Me: Dave, who are these chocolates for?
Dave: You.
Me: Me? Why?
Dave: I know you like chocolate this time of the month, otherwise you get moody.

He's right. This time of the month (THE time of the month) I get real cranky unless I have chocolate, lol. Thank You Dave for installing all these appliances & buying me the chocolates :)

Send him shopping all the time. If only to get chocolate at regular intervals!

Haha, that's what I'm thinking...
I might be grumpy more often!
