The other day Dave & I decided to move the guest room around, because since we put the new bed his parents bought us in there, I haven't been quite happy with it. It hasn't exactly looked like a bedroom - it was just the room where the linen cupboard was, with a spare bed in there.
The boxes in the photo above if your wondering are my mum's presents for us [Not just me & Dave, but my brothers too]. She had sense & went shopping back in October for things to make up some wonderful hampers! Note for next year... do the exact same thing.
That Pig - is Piggy Pink. Who I had in my hospital cradle the day I was born & I still have him today. Oh & the wardrobe, lol - it's half finished. I bought a roll of fancy Monsoon wallpaper in the clearance section at B&Q for like £2, so I decided one day when I was bored, to give the wardrobe that was left by the people who lived here before, a make-over. I still need to paint over the wood though, or make it a darker/reddish brown...
& if you can see, that IS a Betty Boop table. My dad bought it for me around 6 years ago & there is no way I'm getting rid of it, so I'm glad we found a place for it =]
Finally, the Tree of Life poster above the bed. Dave & I are both atheists & I got this poster free after watching a programme on Charles Darwin, but had no idea where I'd put it. Dave came up with the idea of sticking it above the bed as a joke - to remind our guests that they're staying in an atheist house, lol.
One more thing. Yesterday I realised we were down to only 2 Cadburys chocolate decorations from 5, so I had to go out & buy more today - I had planned to get real candy canes too but they were sold out. As soon as I hung the chocolates on the tree, guess who was begging in front of it all night... he soon gave up & sulked on the couch, lol. I need to get him some doggy friendly chocolate for christmas!
