Christmas Decorations

So yesterday we put the tree up, or should I say - I put the tree up, lol.

Cadbury's Chocolate Tree Ornaments... yesterday there were five, today there are two.

Yesterday I had beads on the tree, but after deciding they were too much along with my mum agreeing with me, I took them down, which took a while because I had really wrapped them around neatly. My mum's tree is really simple too & looks so good. Her lights are just pure white & she just has silver reindeer decorations & baubles. So I'm sticking to the simple red & silver theme. I might get some smaller baubles to stick near the top...

It's funny because Tats is going through a really 'chocolate obsessed' mode - every time I walk in with some chocolate, he only has to hear the noise of the wrapper & he knows what it is right away & will not stop begging until we give him some. Well since we have the chocolate tree decorations, he will just sit in front of the tree, begging on his hind legs - as if the chocolate will just fall down, lol.

The last picture is the staircase, it took me foreverrr & a the help of selotape to wrap those lights around a certain way, so that the plug would reach the socket. Since this picture was taken, I wrapped some beads around there too - since I had them spare.

It was funny the way we found my tree too... I had originally wanted it up on the 1st, but my mum needed time to find it in my parents' huge industrial shed [where they keep the cars/boats/random crap]. So she phoned me up yesterday morning to come & search the whole shed [It has another level to it that you climb a rickety ladder to get to]. She had found most of it except for this one ['trunk'] piece that we apparantly needed to finish it off.

50 bags of stuff later after searching the top level, the bottom level then the top level again, my mum realised something. ''Oh hang on, what is this is upside down...?'' Pointing to the actual 'trunk' part of the xmas tree. She turned it over & then, it turns out, there is NO part missing, lol.

Today/Tonight Dave & I have been finally sorting/re-arranging the spare bedroom. I'll probably post some pictures tomorrow of that. We also made some homemade sausage rolls. I was tutoring Dave how to make them & let him try... his went in looking wrong & came out looking, wrong, lol. It still tasted good though & I'm glad he knows how to make them now! Practice makes perfect I suppose.
