Happy Housewife

I have been really good today & got a lot of things done today, so I'm feeling quite pleased with myself =]

One of the things I did was the garden path leading to the main/front door. Since the end of September the autumn leaves have been piling up. We have a lot of trees around our house & the wind is always blowing in from the sea, towards the front of the house ~ which means the leaves [& sweet wrapers, grrr] are unavoidable. Also, if you leave them pile up & they get wet in the rain, they just end up getting all mushy, slippy & smelly. So it had to be done!

The picture above is a picture taken after I had cleared all the leaves. Before this was taken there was also a lot of Ivy growing from the hedge on the left, across the path. Plus the postman was always avoiding the spiky branches sticking out of the hedge which I have now trimmed back, so he'll be happy tomorrow! In the picture below, the dark patch on the lower step is where there was a huge pile of leaves, with plenty of creepy crawlies underneath!

This afternoon, we made the most of the suprisingly clear weather & went for a walk along the beach. It has been so miserable the last few days, wind, rain & very, very cold. Below are just a few pictures from our walk..
