What is everyone else doing for Guy Fawkes night? Dave & I have decided to stay in [although we've already watched one firework display across the road, lol]. The main display, being the Beaumaris firework display is on Saturday, but Dave will be away in Manchester for a Biffy Clyro concert, so I'll probably go with my mum or whoever else is going!
Today was an entertaining day to say the least. I went to University for a careers talk, which ended up being a total waste of time because they only gave us a list of websites & told us we might have to attend a careers meeting. Something they could have just said in an email.
After the talk finished, I realised I had forgotten my phone at home & Dave's phone had died. He had gone to lower Bangor somewhere so I attempted to find him using Facebook, which didn't work at first. I ended up walking around Brambell [a huge science department building] & getting lost amongst stuffed animals. Then I bumped into him outside after ten minutes or so of looking so it wasn't all bad.
Then, we went to Tesco & when we got to the self checkout, they told us there were no plastic bags left at all & we had a
full basket of stuff. So we asked if we could take the basket to the car & bring it back & they said it was no problem. However, we got caught in a terrential downpour & there was absolutely no way I was walking back to the store, so:
Yup, we ended up bringing the basket home, lol. This isn't the first time either. I remember Dave going into Woolworths when it was closing down & he bought like, 30 cans of red bull because it was so cheap. They didn't have any bags left so they just gave him the basket. At the minute I have shoved all the stuff I plan to sell on Ebay in there... godknows what we'll do with it after, lol.
That wasn't the end of our adventure. We then went to Matalan where we were just goofing around for ages, making fun of the house stuff designed by Anthea Turner, Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen & some guys called Colin & Justin. If you have been to Matalan, you will understand. So anyway I had been doing some scrapbooking lastnight & used up all of my pritt stick. As were going to the checkout, there it was, some pritt stick on one of the shelves [obviously picked up by someone & put down in the wrong place]. I just threw it in with the rest of the stuff we bought, some christmas cards & four cushions. The woman just took one cushion out & asked how many I had so I forgot all about the pritt stick underneath, until we got outside.
I didn't bother going back in, because it's not like I stole a dress or something worth more than £10, it was pritt stick [however, it does come with a free stronger pritt stick, haha]. I guess we're officially thieves now...
