Today has been such a long day.
First off, I woke up at 6am, & for some reason I was wide awake & couldn't get back to sleep. My brother picked me up at 8am [with his dog, Annie] & we picked up my mum [along with Smudge] the we went to visit the Vet in Bangor. Tats was only there for his annual booster & he was well behaved as usual, just a little bit of pee on the weighing scales, lol.
When he first ever went to the Vet, my mum had to take him & she said it was the funniest day ever. He ended up peeing all over the roof, the table & all Mr Jones' [the vet] jacket, because he was scared. My mum took a bottle of wine the next time she went, for Mr Jones because she felt awful!
Tats is next to me right now, snoring away. He seems to love the new white cushions.

Anyways, after visiting the vet I had to come home & get ready for a funeral service that would be taking place at midday [back in Bangor]. My mum wanted to set off around 11 so that we'd get a parking space at the Crematorium, so I wasn't home for long.
We arrived back home around 1.30 & then I literally was like a zombie on the couch, trying to fall asleep because I was so tired. I failed. Ken the gas man was coming at 3pm to fix our fire, so I stayed awake to tidy the livingroom a little before he arrived, as you do. Then at 3.30 I had to leave to go back to Bangor with Dave for the 3rd time to pick up the big camera to start filming my documentary this weekend.
When I got back from Bangor, Ken was still there with my mum who had popped over. It turned out that the fireplace hadn't been cleaned properly [underneath the coals etc] in years, way before me & Dave even moved in. This resulted in Carbon Monoxide being the cause of the unpleasant smell everytime we had the fire on. My mum & I were quite suprised, because the people that lived here before were clean-freaks & they obviously never had a gas man around to check out the fireplace properly. I guess this explains why Dave & I were always 'tired' when we had the fire on, lol. Dave was always falling asleep in front of it along with Tats!

But now, I have a lovely, clean fireplace that doesn't smell, so I'm very happy. Especially on a night like this where it is only 10 degrees outside & raining heavily. I'm also so glad I'll be able to burn my scented candles in the livingroom & actually be able to smell them again too, lol.
In other news: Dave has gone to Holyhead tonight to see our friends, I decided to stay at home since I have this huge migrane that just won't go away. Since he's going to the gig in Manchester tomorrow, I guess I won't see him until Sunday - which is our 5yr Anniversary ♥
I hate being on my own in the house, then again I get a huuuuge bed all to myself & I get to watch the cheesy films that Dave never wants to watch =]
P.S] 14 Days until New Moon!!

First of all, your dog is ADORABLE. I want one like him!
Second, I'm in love with your fireplace. When we went house-hunting the only thing on my "dream house" list that this house didn't have was a fireplace. I settled for not having one with the promise that we'll put one in.
I look forward to reading more of your posts. I'm following you now too. =)
